My first reaction to this post is I was going to totally go into all the problems that occured to me here. So when you read it, remember you are reading it from someone who could not leave the school fast enough. No, not leave the school fast enough is far to simple...for me it was a nightmare. So the fact I am saying positive things should be an indication of how good the good parts are.

The first good part is the accomodations. Yes you are an hour away from downtown wuxi and yes it can be as exciting as watching grass dry in town, but the rooms are excellent and only about a 20 minute walk from school.

The staff. I had endless problems with the staff, it was the kind of thing that would make a soap opera look tame. However when things got bad (and they did) the primary school director and the principal were always there to listen to the problem, gently and civilly (ha made up word) point out where I could have done better and within an hour the problem was fixed, usually far better than I asked for. The problems were more with the international department and myself, the teachers in the high school had a fantastically wonderful time.

The food- the school food is interesting. However the school is about a twenty minute walk from McDonalds and KFC and the senior school often ate together

The new campus is awesome

Even though I heartily detested every minute of being there, I can recommend it and the school is working very hard to make everyone feel at home and feel wonderful. The international school is brand new and this is China so things will improve in year 2.

If you are going to the primary school division you will love the kids , there are great and wonderful coworkers in that division , they do try, in their own ways ,to make your stay great.
