Currently I'm heading into my second year of teaching in the state of North Carolina in the USA. Have a license to teach special education and Language Arts. Taught special education last year in inclusive settings with both language arts and math and this year will be teaching my own math, language arts and special education classes in a middle school. The governor just signed a bill that once again does not include for teachers to receive a raise this year. At 46, I dont have much faith in the education system in my state. I would like to really look into teaching in a country that can pay me more than 35,000 a year and provide housing. Any tips on how to get a job in UAE for the school year of 2014-2015? By that time I intend on having an add on license for social studies as well in the middle school ages. My special ed license is k-12 and language arts is for middle school. Any tips or suggestions are welcome..

ISS holds a couple job fairs every year for international schools worldwide. While the Middle East pays well in the top schools, there is a whole world out there.

thanks for the replies... I guess with only one year post license under my belt.. I will concentrate on getting better at my current job and then begin to look for an overseas job after this next year...Im not sure how much my special education license is of value on the international scene so thats why I added the language arts and this year the social studies middle grades license.... I want to be able to save at least 10-12,000 USD a year when I get a decent job overseas if that is possible...
