is it gone or is it just my aging computer?

also, is it possible to change one's handle and still keep the same account? way back when, there was a massive reorg and we all had to re-register handles, and my original one was taken. i'd even say stolen, as everytime i checked, there was absolutely no record of use. like someone grabbed it just to annoy me, which takes 'loser' to a whole new low!

I'm not sure what you mean. The word "handle" is used for a code name for CB radio communication, but in the Internet world we use the word "username." If your question is about your username at Dave's ESL cafe why don't you directly message an administrator?

1. i'm on a number of discussion forums, being a member of the pre-myspace/friendster internet generation. 'handle' is accepted lingo in many of them, with 'username' only being used during registration.

2. admin email? have been looking and unable to find one. you mean a mod? have been lurking intensely this week and don't see any sign of mod activity, so figured i'd have better luck posting out in the open. likely someone else has had the same question. i guess not.

The Mod Team is not involved with the Memberlist or its status. If you wish, please use the "Contact Dave's ESL Cafe" link at the bottom of the page to ask your questions of the Board Administrator.

The two fastest ways to contact a Mod on this board are by PM or Report Post.

Don't spread it around, but we do some of our best work when we appear to be absent. Wink
