a poster is pleading with people to tell him that all is A-OK with EDEX. Desperate to get someone to pay for his pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina, he has fooled himself into thinking that EdEx are great guys to work for. |
Some people are blinded into what they want to hear, on the other hand, EdEx is a way in for people without the relevant qualifications. He seems to be under the notion that because he is a Muslim - he will be immune from culture shock and has a better idea of how life is there - he is in for a rude shock. |
If you are a Muslim you will be in for a surprise. This country is as far away from what Islam professes as possible. I've known Muslims who were disgusted after living here in the land of The Two Holy Mosques.

KSA contradicts Malcolm X's sayings, I don't know about the region as a whole. The way they treat the other Muslims here is horrible. |

Dude, Malcolm X is still speaking to a lot of us 50 years on. This is the power of the printed word. Reading his (and Haley's) book changed my life back when I was barely a teenager in the 70s, even if I didn't become Muslim for almost 40 more years. I'm sure it still speaks to a lot of youth, especially the non-white youth in the US. |
