| If the offence is old enough, you can have it sealed by the courts meaning, it doesn't go away but it wont come up in background checks. I assume it's to make sure someone who was 18 and got a DWI (without property damage or injury) does not permanently ruin your life when you are 45. It's perfectly legal to petition the courts to do it but it will cost you a bit with the lawyers. |
