Hi, everyone, a recent run-in with a recruiter piqued my interest in teaching for oil companies in the Middle East.
I'm considering whether to go for CELTA or an MA in TESOL. Each has its advantages. CELTA is shorter and cheaper. An MA in TESOL will allow me to apply to colleges in the US to teach ESL.
Here are my stats.
BA English Writing
MA Communication (basically English Composition & Multimedia)
ABD Literature American Drama
6 years teaching Writing Lit & Com in the US
2 years teaching ESL & Lit in East Asia
Given my background, which would serve to make me more employable. The ultimate goal is a direct-hire position at the best oil companies.
