sorry, but couldn't help myself, I know that someone's recently posted the link to this site

There's a great little section there called Dave's EFL pub... I'd say it's perfect.

Oh man, that's genius funny. Thanks for the link! Very Happy

so in other words, you JUST got here.

No, he means that he's got 3 years on you and making it in other places around the world without the need to constantly whine about it on a message board created to provide people with useful information regarding a country of their choice and not comments from people who obviously left Kansas with Toto on a wild ride just to end up in a place just like Kansas with Toto intact. Meanwhile, the world ain't Kansas Dorothy and in some places they'd use Toto as a starter at a semi-fancy fast food joint. This is Poland, it's a different continent and different culture, over 3000 years older than yours... either recognize it, try to understand it and become part of it... or move on and get over yourself.

someone's got their panties in a bunch.

By my calculation, he came in January-ish. how can you get the full Polish experience until you've stood in the cold for hours staring at a grave on November 1st? Wink

in my 4 years, i met and taught people from all over the world, held many contracts with many companies, taught myself Polish from zero, taught privates, met my wife and participated in all Polish holidays as a Polish family does, had a full blown Polish wedding, traveled, have Polish friends I still stay in contact with, owned real estate....I got the full Polish experience you might say during my time and continue to have it with my Polish wife at home. Heck, I even went through the paperwork to get my wife to the states with a green card, also a right of passage Wink

if that doesn't trump his 8 month honeymoon....as for the Toto and 3,000 years part....Rolling Eyes

I know so much about Poland and am so integrated that I wake up with a cig. already lit and in my mouth, eat a plate full of bigos for breakfast, washed down with a setka of vodka. I then yell at and threaten my wife before leaving for work where I sit around, do nothing and complain all day. After this, I come back home where I sit, watch television and drink beer in order to cultivate a nice brzuch, all the while twirling my mustache and listening to disco polo. Yeah suckaz, beat that!

This is one of my local pubs back home and it's a nice one. You can't beat those prices in Poland for sure. It's official, pub food is cheaper in the UK for similar food.

Damn, I only got two points. "Hopeless. You've no chance at all of ever becoming a DOS. Sorry. I suppose you could make a living writing earnest articles for tedious ELT publications and pontificating at dreary conferences."
