Preparing for an interview can sometimes be a crap shoot. Perhaps your interviewer was just trying to check how knowledgeable you are about basic grammar in lieu of having you do a short demo lesson. Are you irritated because you couldn't answer his questions? |

The conditionals question is a big favorite of Gulf employers. I assumed that many, if not most, employers will ask questions like this. How you handle grammar questions is a common part of the interview.
VS
(by the way... rob and steal are not the same... and this is the type of questions that students will ask all the time) |

One robs a person or place; whereas, objects get stolen from a person or place. For example:
"She was robbed."
"Her laptop was stolen." |

NO SMILES BY THE PERSON DOING THE INTERVIEW. |
He may have been assessing your ability to stay focused and calm while under pressure. |

Actually, sounds like an interview I had with International House many moons ago and then they had no vacancies at the locations I wanted..... |
