Preparing for an interview can sometimes be a crap shoot. Perhaps your interviewer was just trying to check how knowledgeable you are about basic grammar in lieu of having you do a short demo lesson. Are you irritated because you couldn't answer his questions?

The conditionals question is a big favorite of Gulf employers. I assumed that many, if not most, employers will ask questions like this. How you handle grammar questions is a common part of the interview.

VS
(by the way... rob and steal are not the same... and this is the type of questions that students will ask all the time)

...rob and steal are not the same...

One robs a person or place; whereas, objects get stolen from a person or place. For example:

"She was robbed."
"Her laptop was stolen."

I HAVE COVERED STUFF LIKE CONDITIONALS ETC... BUT MY POINT IS THIS WASN'T EVEN AN INTERVIEW IT WAS MORE LIKE I WAS PUT IN THE SLAUGHTER HOUSE.....

NO SMILES BY THE PERSON DOING THE INTERVIEW.

He may have been assessing your ability to stay focused and calm while under pressure.

Actually, sounds like an interview I had with International House many moons ago and then they had no vacancies at the locations I wanted.....
