Well, maybe I won't be working there after all.
I am getting inquiries already and a question occurred to me: What do I say about leaving mid-year? Do I just say my contract is over and did not wish to extend it or should I offer any other explanation?
Thanks.

I'm not sure you can say that your contract was over, because you need the new school to get a new FEC / permit for you, and they'll know the permit was tied to the length of the contract.
I guess you have to say that you're leaving by mutual consent, that you gave your old school plenty of time to find a new teacher, left on good terms etc. I think that you should present the situation they way you've done it on this thread. Start off with saying that the situation wasn't working, and if pressed, explain your reasons in a restrained, balanced manner. |
