Hey guys, I recently graduated and completed a CELTA course.
I've been noseying around and applying for some jobs teaching in Taiwan; the usual likes of KOJEN, HESS and Shane.
When i search through this forums, everything I seem to find seems to be quite negative, or a horror story.
So i wanted to ask, has anyone actually had any good experiences of going to teach in Taiwan, or any good recommended companies?
If there is some form of list of good quality companies, or also a 'keep away from these' list, I would appreciate it if someone would link it to me.
Thanks guys |

new_guy_wants_nice_job,
You make your own reality. Taiwan can be fun if you are looking to party when you are young. I lived in Taipei for four years. As you get older, you realize that career opportunities are limited as an ESL teacher in Taiwan. Not to mention that each year there are fewer ESL jobs in Taiwan.
The reality depends what you are looking for and your expectations. |

You can also apply to HESS. They hire people unseen.
Most other companies want you to do a demo before hiring you. |
