Somehow that spelling error seems appropriate.
Sad days for desperate people...

Wow - the chickens have come home to roost, it seems. How many Saudi employers have knowingly hired illegals, mainly because they could treat them as they liked?
We have a similar problem here in the US.
Regards,

I usually leave the spell check to my indentured and illegal third world slave. Had to correct the spelling myself this time. |

Just wait until the rioting is Saudis that will be forced to drive garbage trucks, work in food stores, laundries etc. As bad as I feel for the folks over there who did nothing other than work for the ungrateful for peanuts. I sincerely hope this event will somehow force Saudis to do the degrading jobs that the rest of the world has been doing for those ungrateful #^%$$& for the last 50 years. |

And the Saudis didn't know that there was going to be problems with their crackdown? Any other country would have had that figured out, even countries in SE Asia. This is the dumbest country I have ever seen in my life. |

Setting an example by one's actions does help to implement change, but must also accompany a radical shift in thinking.
It will take some time for Saudis to get it. |

Ability to think through plans and work out the consequences does not seem to exist in the Magic Kingdom. |

These bumbling events reflect the sad eventuality that will befall these good folk in only a couple of decades. |

Not until they run out of petroleum. For now it will only force Saudis to hire the same laborers for the same pay... but also have to pay the government for an iqama for them all.
This will be the only result... not Saudis becoming sweepers and bus/taxi drivers.

It may collapse before they run out of petroleum as there are so many new discoveries and technologies emerging that the market will drive prices down enough to severely impact the Saudi economy.
To paraphrase Churchill: "It may not be the the beginning of the end, but the end of the beginning." for the grandiose lifestyle of the Saudis. |

Imagine the same coffers that increased thru a kind of illicit human trafficking will now become heaped yet again by a kind of authorized human trafficking. |

I doubt Saudi will last more than a couple of years. Good riddance! |
