Ah, god mr bridge, does falling off your chair laughing at other people's posts count in there somewhere??

I'm in a pretty spectacularly fabulous mood today. Its my last day of classes at this university EVER!!! and one of my students just came to ask me if we could have a party this afternoon in class. Sure!! I'll bring the Coronas!!

But, I have no work to do, so I'm sitting here playing on Dave's, listening to Creedence and chair dancing while playing the drums on my desk.

Yeeehaw!

Extreme chair dancing ...ummm....now there's an idea.By the way,I don't know much about Mexico...but there must be some great distractions there.Oaxaca,(hope the spellings ok),I had a mate there called Dominic Wright. He was there years, might still be.He said you could smoke yourself silly for nothing. That,Corona and beaches...what more could you want in life except for the obvious? To get the word 'obvious' you must understand that I'm in the desert surrounded by men with long beards who look like extras off an 'Eminem' video and talk about nothing but Amerrrrica and a place called 'Falestine' inhabited by 'Falestinians'.Weird or what?Still only 2 weeks and the next batch of 'Desert Corona' should have brewed.

Oh well that's good.

Because (ahem) - if you could, I would suggest setting up a lobby campaigning against that kind of thing.

Dear leeroy,
Would that be against internet porn - or against censorship?
Regards,
John

Johnslat

I am torn between my loyalties between anti-women-objectification (is that women-subjectification?) and that of freedom of speech and expression.

Suffice to say that I've never seen internet porn myself - but I have heard that it exists...

Strangely enough, one might make a similar statement about, say, a Supreme Being.

John

In how many contexts (I wonder) can we equate Him to Internet Porn?

My hat goes off to you, once again Smile

Dear leeroy,
Well, I came across an interesting notion recently in a book ("Invisible Monsters") by Chuck Palahniuk. It goes something like this:

We are God's soap operas.

Just as so many get "hooked" on watching the daytime soaps, the Supreme Being has become addicted to the antics of the human race. But, in the same way that we can't interfere in the soaps, the Supreme Being can only watch the unfolding of our melodramas.
However, it's most important to make your life an interesting one; otherwise HE/SHE/IT might change the channel.

Regards,
John

From Internet Porn, to God, to Soap Operas...

My..

I would like to think that if there is a God then He is indeed laughing at all of us. If God was angry every single time that it is said that he would be (in the Bible, Qu'ran, etc..) then I imagine he would be a very unhappy man(?) indeed. I only hope that my character is not so dull that he wants to kill me off in the next episode...

I have this strange image of god (with a small G ) logging onto Dave's from a laptop in Paradise while she (!) suns herself on the beach only to find that no one has answered her postings.
If god hadn't wanted pornography then why did we get teased with the fig leaves and nudity?

Laptop in Paradise: isn't that a Buffet tune?

What's scalextric?

Needed one Bottle of seltzer water. One glass. At least one raisin.
Pour a glass of seltzer water
insert raisin
as bubbles form on the crinkly surface of the raisin it rises to the surface of the water, where the bubbles pop against the surface, after which the raisin sinks back to the bottom.
process repeats itself.
Enjoy.

Smurf Guillotine, hours of family fun.
