300k Pakistanis, 300k Sudanese, maybe 1,000k other workers also face losing their jobs and being sent home. I don't know how that'll look on their CVs but lets focus on the more important tasks at hand like keeping your desk clean.

Oh man, those photos are hilarious and go some way to satisfying one of my ambitions - seeing Saudis do some work Shocked

The photo on the left is just brilliant as the guy wearing sunglasses clearly has no idea what the broom is for and the guy on the right is showing him how to use it. I hope they get paid 300 SR a month too.

two great quotes in there:

Quote:
In general, the absence of workers in schools around the kingdom has caused accumulation of dirt and filth in some schools.

but note that this is only in general...

and

Quote:
If each one of us, teachers and students, carry their duty towards the school, we would be able to get rid of expatriate workers for good

yeah... sweep out that accumulation of filth! Twisted Evil

In Rural Africa where I taught for a few years, the students were responsible for cleaning their own classrooms once a week, sweeping and polishing the floors, washing the windows, dusting ...to motivate the students a bit, it was turned into a competition and after inspection the students that did the best job were awarded some sort of prize.

Just imagine that happening in KSA ....
It is a small step in the right direction... even if it is a lame show of it.

You'd be amazed how encouraging the prize of a can of Coke and a packet of Walkers is.

It is impossible to imagine that, just as it is impossible to imagine that (in) SA (will) one day:

- have a female ruler
- have democracy
- make its own fully home-grown rocket to go to the moon
- parents will raise their own children
- a significant majority of citizens will follow traffic rules
- university students will learn to use/read academic textbooks
- eliminate wasta to any appreciable degree from most spheres of life

etc.

Trapezius,

Don't forget to add that pork products (the other white meat) will be introduced in all school lunch programs. In other words, "when pigs fly". Very Happy
