Hey all. Just a quick question. What's the difference between buxiban and cram schools? How do they each operate? And what are the pros and cons of working in each one? |

They're the same thing. 'Buxiban' is cram school in Chinese.
They're private language schools. Most are located near elementary schools or junior high schools. When the kids finish regular school, they go to a cram school to study English or math or whatever else their parents want them to study.
Does that answer your question? |

yes. Now I know there are good ones and bad ones. One thing that's important to me anyway is that my students are disciplined. At least enough that I can control them and do my job. I know in china, usually there's a chinese teacher as your teacher assistant. Is the same thing true in Taiwan? |

The larger chain schools often do. The smaller mom and pop schools often don't. |
