I suspect most private and possibly a few government universities offer educational allowances to their direct-hire faculty. For instance, Alfaisal University, a private uni in Riyadh, states the following: "...the University provides educational financial assistance for its eligible employees’ dependents up to 3 children per year, provided that they are residing with the employee in the Kingdom." Ditto for Prince Sultan U, another private institution, which provides tuition fees of up to 30,000 SAR for two school-age dependent children. Then there's King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM), a public uni, that offers (limited) tuition fees. Obviously, not all of them indicate the amount.

I suggest you check each uni individually for educational bennies, starting with the private institutions before looking at the larger, public unis. A list of Saudi universities can be found on wikipedia. Additionally, job postings for direct-hire openings are starting to appear on TESOL Arabia's site, which is where I saw the Prince Sultan info.

KAU- ELI=0
PSU = 30,000
KFUPM = 25,000

Any more? Thanks for the information Nomad Soul, but I think it would be useful to have a list so that everyone could see it.

I'm sure a few other posters will add their contributions. But since I don't have any children and no longer live in the Kingdom, my intention was to point you in the right direction so that you can check out the universities individually and compile your own list to post here as you wish. By the way, how many school-age dependents do you have, and is your wife qualified to teach as well?

Once again, thanks for the information. I have just one child and my wife does not teach. I know most of the allowances for the UAE, but not KSA. If anyone can add to the list, please do so.

Let's build the list! Laughing

PMU in Khobar pays 25.000, I think. Same as KFUPM up the road. That is doable for one child if you top it up with a few thousand. Those with more than one child in school will find it difficult on that budget unless both parents are working.
