I was just wondering which city has better public transportation: Medellin or Bogota. |

Bogota is expansive and full of cars. There is no metro. Although there is an above ground "Transmilenio" bus system, overcrowding and large distances make it less than ideal. Medellin has an excellent above ground metro going from the extreme north to south of the Aburra Valley, as well as west to San Javier. This makes Medellin the best city in Colombia for public transport. |

Ever been on the transmilenio? It sucks. The metro in Medellin is pretty easy to use and generally is not overcrowded like the transmilenio, but I'm not sure how expansive the routes are. It seemed to me that it only went back in forth in 2 different directions when I was there. |
