Hello everyone,

I was sent an email about a teaching job in Dubai. I have not sent out any applications for teaching jobs in over 2 years (I am not even a teacher anymore). So I was surprised to say the least.

But this offer looks pretty good and I think I might accept if it is legitimate.

I am a little concerned though, because the person gave me an email address and told me I must get the visa and work permit myself. This is completely different from every other teaching job I have had. I have also not gotten any response from this email address and the principal told me I have 7 days to get all the paperwork or the offer will be cancelled.

This is something else I have never been told before. The school is the DUBAI ARAB AMERICAN PRIVATE SCHOOL, a Google search turned up nothing as far as scams, and their website does look legitimate.

Am I concerned over nothing? Does this sound like a legitimate job offer?

You can't get the visa and work permit yourself, unless you are a freelancer in the Free Zones, the sponsor must do it. So this is not legitimate.

Click on the following link: http://daaschool.com/news.html to the school's webpage. There's an alert regarding an "appointment letter" that was fraudulently sent to unassuming job applicants.

Thanks for the response but I dont see where the scam is, they are not asking me for any money.

Is this common? Does this school name sound familiar? They're website looked legitimate.

As soon as they tell you this:

You can be very confident that it is a scam.

These scams are actually humorous:
Feeding allowance and
fan or AC, and a working heating system etc. and
Pension: 100% will be provided by the Employer

Just send your name off to the address below (Please don't!)
