If you are asking what salary you would get based on these qualifications, probably between 10,000 to 13,000 SR per month. If you are working for a university, your housing and bills would be paid for and you would get around two months+ paid holiday per year.

PM me if you need more information

Good luck!

That really should be: "(If you are able to get hired directly at) a university..." Your unrelated BA and average teaching experience won't put you at the top of the list for direct-hire opportunities; however, contracting companies would be interested in you as would the British Council.

Thanks for the correction, Sicklyman. Strike that one off the list. An American friend of mine works for them, but she likely has dual citizen through her British husband.

The answer is quite simple. You do not need to be British to work for the British Council. A sound understanding of British culture and the education system is desirable.

While the BC does prefer to hire Brits, I know Americans who have worked for them... and a British spouse would probably be considered a plus to them.

The conditions include residence in the UK for three years. There are others. Marriage in itself is not sufficient. In the good old days it was !

One of the hurdles frequently faced by British EFLers with non-EU wives is the current requirement that the spouse have earnings of £18,600 before (s)he can bring said spouse to UK.
