Concordia University's Master of Arts in International Studies (MAIS) International Education concentration
Course outline & descriptions: http://www.cui.edu/AcademicPrograms/Graduate/International-Studies/index.aspx?id=17217
It includes a TESOL cert course and two practicum courses.
Most of the coursework is done in classroom at their campus in Irvine and after that you go to China to teach and continue studying. And that's where the practicums are done, with their faculty observing you there. |

That program is ideal if your goal is to only teach in China as a Christian missionary. A Christian and China-focused degree plus Chinese experience aren't likely to impress the better employers in other parts of the world, especially those in the conservative-Islamic Middle East. Moreover, prospective employers (outside of China) will consider an MA in International Studies as unrelated to teaching English, even with the addition of those few TESOL courses. (This is why I pointed you to that other thread so that you can think critically about your choice of degree programs.) |
