My contract will be ending soon and I was wondering if my boss has to let me know if he plans on not renewing it or if he can just let it expire?
Thanks! |

He should.
Do you want to stay there? |

I guess you haven't seen a new contract.
Keeping you guessing is not a good way to do things. |

How close are you to your contract's end? If he hasn't brought it up then you should, and if you have less than a month left then it's not a good sign on his behalf.
You're fortunate enough not to be one of those teachers who get their contracts terminated prematurely to avoid paid vacations and an end of year completion reward. Though I've heard that story many times, I can't confirm how likely -or unlikely- it happens.
Either way, you sound like you're interested to renew, or at least in finding another school; so staying oblivious while your employer may have already made his decision isn't wise. Straighten things out with him. |

I would rather work elsewhere but until I have another job secured I am concerned about staying at my current one.
My contract ends on March 31st. |
