I've got a residente temporal work visa. It comes up for renewal at the end of March. I've been advised to go and get it renewed a month beforehand to avoid problems. I was just wondering if anyone could help with a few questions.
I'm currently living in Irapuato, Guanajuato. I'm leaving my job at ITESM at the end of the month. Now I've had some job offers in Oaxaca for the start of March, so if I take one of those jobs I could leave it until I move to try and get the visa renewed.
However, I'm also thinking about staying here and just doing private work. I've been accumulating more and more work in companies, which I prefer to working in a school, the pay is pretty good, it's relaxed, and it's teaching adults. Now, I've already had job offer letters from these places in Oaxaca. So what I really want to know is, if I took one of these letters to the INM office in Leon, would that be enough to renew my visa? And would it matter that the job offer letter is from a university in another state?
Also, if I take a letter and use it to get my visa renewed, would I then run into problems if I turn down the job offer? Do INM contact the employer at all?
I know this is a lot of questions, but if anyone has any info I would appreciate it. Thank you |
