Hi everyone,
Moving to Bangkok in a couple weeks and will need to be living fairly close to my place of work. Consequently, the Dusit area seems to be the most logical option, geography wise...
Does anyone have any insight into what the neighbourhood/area is like? I've heard it's "European" style with wide avenues, etc., but that it's also heavily congested with pollution and traffic...
Would appreciate some insight from those of you who know the area!
Cheers |

Hello there,
It is quite a nice area to live in BKK and experience Thai culture. Lots of westerners around....mansions and cafes....indeed an upscale residential area of Bkk. Rent prices are high though....especially close to the river. Dusit Zoo is very popular for western tourists and there are several historical places to visit in Dusit. Good luck! |
