Well, I have finally decided to accept a position in Hermosillo. I know it's going to be HOT, but the school assures me that the classrooms and my office have A/C. I guess it will be a bonus if the A/C actually works. The school is TAES which is the secondaria affiliated with ITESM. Grades 7-9 .... should be fun!
One good thing about the desert climate....it will make Christmas in Cancun even more enjoyable.

Good luck to you in Hermosillo! Hey, next time I take that insane bus ride up to Arizona (thru Hermosillo) can I pop in to say hello?

I thought I was the only one who traveled by bus throughout the desert! Absolutely! Pop in any time.

No, you're not the only crazy person. I rather like the Mexican bus system. I can get anywhere I want as long as time is not a factor. I like long bus rides (unless I get leg cramps) as I find them relaxing. Besides I can bring more of the heavier stuff back with me on the bus (like books).

I love to travel by bus. I travelled by Volkswagon bus for more than an year around the US and Canada in 2002-03. Now I plan to ravel by said bus to Mexixo in a few months. My bus is a bed, a theatre, a kitchen, a transport, an entertainment room, a storage facility, a change room, a bathroom, a library, a lovely place to be. I love my bus. I hope the man who is storing it while Im in Ecuador didnt sell it just because Im almost a year behind on paying him! I need it to get to Mexico. If youre in Monterrey, or near Sabinas Hidalgo, youll see it by New Year. Stop by for a drink.

Oh, and the reason for the above reply... I love the desert. I spent about 6 months in the California desert, near Bishop, during my travels. Hot days and cold nights. I miss the desert.
