I'm looking for someone with experience teaching in Kunming or Xiamen. Any information would be appreciated. This will be my first time teaching ESL and I hope to end up in one of these places. Thank you. |

lived there for three years learning chineasy.
taught in a university there one year (my first year).
what do you want to know?
weather is nice.
the city is nice enough, but terrible growth rate.
population has doubled in five years. (my unofficial guesstimate)
traffic congestion and pollution increasing rapidly.
pay is considerably lower than the average in china. |

Just trying to get some good recommendations on schools to apply at. Thanks for the information. I picked these 2 destinations based upon weather/pollution factors. |

Was 3 years on the ground in Xiamen. Nice smaller city. Salaries lower than average. You are better off elsewhere if you want to make real money. |
