when applying for a job/iqama, did you have to notarise your certificate?
or was the Certifying Statement enough?
Cambridge wants to charge 128 pounds sterling for a notary to put a stamp on a piece of paper, so I want to find out if it is necessary for a visa before i shell out the cash.
thanks! |

Don't bother with the time or expense of notarizing your TESOL/CELTA certificate. The SACM only needs your university/college degrees notarized. Just send them the certificate, that is sufficient. I had my degrees notarized by a notary at a bank. It worked for me. |

NEVER let originals out of your hands!!! Only send copies, but bring your originals with you.

notarisation doesn't need to be done with originals anyway and certainly not with a certificate as convincing as the hologrammed DELTA. You only need to have copies notarised so that the receiver can be assured that they are true copies of the original.
I had a visa agent do all this for me for Saudi so I didn't have to bother myself but waaaay back when I did need to do it myself for another job, I just walked into a random high street lawyer's office and asked them to do it. Unbelievably, they charged me a fiver a document. I honestly don't think they knew what they could have been charging. |
