Hi guys,

Is it true that a foreigner, even with permanent residency, who has paid all the required contributions is still not entitled to a Turkish state pension??

Thanks

I know itiş true because I happen to work with other foreign teachers WHO are in fact collecting their monthly pensions and they are not repeat not citizens of Turkey, my situation is different from them, but I have a date for my pension date. there is also an agreement with a number of countries and turkey where pension rights are reciprocated, therefore I would be able to take my pension rights back home vice-versa. So the article is inaccurate.Sorry about the typos and capitals but this key board is totally and utterly fagged out (bet you any Money that f Word gets censored!)

don't know how it is calculated but if you go to any post office with your temporary TC number, pay 2 lira, you will get a password that enables you to use the sgk website and check how many days you have done and therefore how many are remaining. I have another 2000 days to go:( Also it will show how much you have been paid so far if it is all happening on the books.

I understand tha the current payment on a full pension is approaching 2000 tl depending on the type of payments that were made on your behalf, the minimum days are 5825 and as a bloke you need to wait 25 years, yes thats right, before you get a kuruş of it!
