Has anyone got any recommendations for taking beginner's Japanese lessons in Saitama or Tokyo? My home station is Musashi-Urawa so nearer to there would be great! I'm interested in free & paid lessons. Thanks in advance! |

Ask at your local City Hall and also ask if there is a local International Friendship Society. Most districts have some provision for free, or nearly free, lessons. |

I asked my City Hall but their information wasn't so helpful. Of course, I looked on the internet, but I was hoping someone might reply who knows about lessons directly - either taking them or knows somebody who is. |

Almost guaranteed to be something in Urawa. I know that all of the individual wards in Tokyo that I've looked at offer Japanese classes, either for free or for very low cost.
Hell, just by googling "Urawa English Classes" I found this:
http://www.sia1.jp/multi/English/jclass_samtama-shi.html
Maybe outdated but I'd imagine a lot of those classes are still running. |
