Not specifically, but Liverpool is an excellent university and their distance learning provisions / CfLLL have good reputations.
Generally speaking EdDs have an image problem in the UK and although they are supposed to be equivalent to a PhD they are often seen as lightweight version, on a par with an MPhil or less. (I have no idea whether there is any basis to this, or if it´s just academic snobbery).
So UK based EdD programmes are usually aimed at international students because they are seen as equivalent elsewhere. |

Thanks! I noticed that when they put that an EdD was similarly accepted to a PhD. I guess I'm just a bit wary about he lack of reviews about it. That and the pricing. If you pay up front you get a discount. A pretty hefty one. You also get discounts for referring people to the prog which is how I found out about it. |

May I ask what the cost is (with and without the discount)? Their website isn't very informative in this area. |

$50,000 is what I was told a bit ago from a friend. If you paid all at once it was 40k. I don't know what the referral discount is. She's taking the program and seemed to be pushing it on a lot of people due to the discounts she could get if they joined. I think I also might get as discount t if I joined?
I wish there were more info about the prog. I know Liverpool is a good uni it's just things like the lack of fee info and lack of reviews in general that get me. I'm glad Dave's is here to help though! |

I think it's probably quite a new course, it's possible that no-one has actually graduated from it yet. (Just a guess, but I hadn't heard of it before, and I think I would have, if it had been around for a while, I'm pretty familiar with the post grad offerings available around Merseyside). That would also explain why they are offering discounts for referrals. |

Let me know if you do find anything out. I believe it's been around for three years now. Thanks again |

I will ask around and see if I can find anyone on it, but I doubt it attracts very many home students.
If it's only been going for 3 years it's quite probable there aren't any graduates yet. |

My friend is from the USA. She loves it but I'd still like to hear from other people if they've taken it. |

How long has she been on it? Ideally I would want to hear from someone who successfully survived the writing up period before making a decision. |
