|
|
I have just finished working for one of the major recruiters. My apartment contract was signed by my employer.
I have moved out of my apartment and of course there will be cleaning costs which they claim will have to be deducted from my final salary.
They say it may take as long as a month to know these costs and that will delay the payment of my final salary by one month.
This sounds illegal to me, isn't it? To delay the payment of my final month's salary one month more.
Is there anything I can do to stop this? Is there a help hotline by the government? |

Unfortunately, no I don't think there's anything you can do about it.
And FWIW, they most likely aren't trying to screw you over. They aren't saying that they aren't going to pay you, after all.
It takes a while for the landlord / company (Leopalace or whoever it's with) to come out and assess the amount of cleaning fees etc. especially at this time of year because of the number of people moving apartments. Most companies- especially large ones- don't deal with individual pay. They send out bulk pay. They will withhold the final pay until they have the necessary information from the leasing company. If that doesn't happen until after the pay for the month has gone in, then it will be pushed back a month. |

Thanks for your answer. I appreciate it. I am still going to look into whether I can do anything! |

The company's name begins with another vowel. |

I believe my company starts with this same vowel, and for the record they have two of my paychecks at the moment despite ending on 3/24. I was told not to expect them until the end of this month, and despite being a resident for the entire time I was working, they're taking 20% foreigner tax out of them. |

Why do people just not say the name of the company? To my knowledge, there's nothing bad that can come of it. |
