Anyone on the board working for them or have worked for them?

They appear to be legit, and they have that little "verified" logo on echinacities.com.

The offer is up to 20 hrs classes, accommodation provided, 8,900-9,500 RMB (before tax, I presume), 5 day regular work-week, though it also mentions 8 "office hours". I'm not sure if this means I'll need to be at the school for 40 hours or 28 hours, but I'll ask if I can get an interview.

Is this decent for my first time back in the ESL water? (I did Japan and South Korea before their bubbles collapsed, did one year in Ningbo, too, but for much less money seeing as I had just finished with making bank in South Korea and really just wanted the free time then... I've wracked up even more student loans getting a Master's degree in a completely unrelated field).

Haha - off topic, but it takes so much self-control to not yet "Hammer Time!" when I yell at someone to stop... (I'm currently "tha people" aka po-po)

They are not legit. I started to work for them after I had visa issues due to my previous employer not knowing what they were doing.

They told me that they wouldnt give me a Z visa unless I worked with my school for three months and only after I had received a contract extension would they sponsor me. They said it was ok tho because they had tons of other teachers who were not working on Z visas either.

If a company doesn't want to bother with making you legit, they are not a legitimate business.

Warm regards,
