I recently explained how I was duped by a recruiter in China. I just learned that TOTAL ESL - the company that ripped me off is owned and operated by the same lady who owns China ESL (Rebecca Tang) - and 4 other ESL/TEFL recruiting companies in China. Apparently they advertise under dozens of email addresses and telephone numbers, and even various web sites. The above link refers to another victim that vented here at Dave's a while back.
Anyway, I found this 2013 link that led me to discover that 1,367 expat teachers signed a petition sent to the Chinese justice minister of China demanding that this Rebecca lady be arrested and taken to court for fraud.

Then I googled some more and found over two dozen complaints on just the first five pages of google and have to wonder... Why do expat forums and message boards allow China ESL to advertise when it seems everyone knows they rip off expat teachers? Isn't this the same as giving a pedophile a directory of local primary schools? I cannot find a single ESL/TEFL forum or message board that does not sell her ads.
From another forum where another guy complained I learned these are all the different names they advertise under:
TotalESL
ESLChina
ESLGroove
China ESL
DomsESL
