Hi everyone
A friend of mine has just been contacted regarding an opening in Social Studies at the American Universal School. She's a middle school history teacher here in the U.S. and has never worked or lived out of the country before. But she's looking (and rightfully so) to get out of the U.S. public school system as soon as possible.
I've heard there are some good Int'l schools in Kuwait and some really awful ones. Could anyone possibly give any feedback on this one?
I'm still trying to get her to come onto these forums herself, but since she's not an ESL/EFL teacher, she doesn't really bother. Any input would be appreciated! |

I'm assuming you're talking about UAS, Universal American School. All I know about the school is their location. It's in a crowded, crappy area of Kuwait, called Hawally. Nearly impossible to enter, or exit during busy hours. If your friend is a qualified teacher from the U.S., there are better American schools to work for. American School of Kuwait, and American International School, to name two. |
