Islam can be practised anywhere and anytime.

Not as easily as it can in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East, I definitely know of one and probably several others who came because they can do their 5 daily prayers without looking strange or being laughed at like they would in the West. A seriously pious Muslim is going to want to pray 5 times a day, and new converts from the West tend to be even more pious than Muslims from the Middle East. |

In the West if you are pious then you can pray 5 times if you wish: coffee break, lunch time...
Not as difficult as people imagine it to be!
And yes, the Middle East/KSA especially does attract very hardliners(reverts, born again) who do not respect other peoples point of view generally and are forever relating everything to religion. Very Tiring!

| And "Reverts" are not universally popular in KSA ! Notice the strange terminology. The position is that everyone is BORN a Muslim, but may be led into untruth. When someone raised as a Christian, Sikh or Animist becomes a Muslim, then (s)he is REVERTING to their natural state !!!!!!! |

They can be as tiresome to their fellow Muslims as this type (converts/born agains) of Christian often is to their fellow Christians (or non-believers) within our own cultures.

I think if you tried to do that you would end up with a local contract which is basically a very low salary with no benefits at all which would result in deport because you wouldnt have any type of formal paper work.
TRY UAE Im sure you ll like it there and you can actually do that. consider it a mini vacation.. |

I disagree with you.
I live in UK and I am a Muslim, previously I have lived in the Magic Kingdom and UAE, and I can tell you that Muslims in UK do their 5 prayers and they do not look strange or being laughed at.
The problem with the Magic Kingdom is that if you do not follow their Wahabi school of thought, then you might feel restricted in your practice.
A seriously pious Muslim will practice his religion in a proper way regardless if he is in Jeddah, London, or Las Vegas.
The advantage/benefit of having your prayers in the two holy mosques is that one prayer in the holy mosque of Makkah is better than 100,000 prayers in any other mosques. |

Dear Rostom,

Hmm, sounds like in religion as in real estate it's all about Location, Location, Location.
Regards,

Not so. UAE employers also expect job seekers on tourist visas to apply from outside the country. Plus, the OP's BA wouldn't be enough to compete for positions in the Emirates. |
