Is arriving in late August a bad idea for finding a job teaching? Or is this a semi-ideal situation due to bad teachers leaving? |

I am in the same situation because I will not be able to finish my certification until early August. Looking forward to some input about this question. Thanks |

Do you have any experience Crandalls or are you just getting a TEFL?
I'm guessing it will depend on experience levels. I only have a semester of teaching abroad experience, which may be too short of a time to easily find employment. Either way, I'd love to hear some input! |

Late August is pushing it. Most of the good schools will have hired their teachers for September. It's true that some teachers will bail before they start, or early into their contract, but I wouldn't like to rely on that. Still, you should still be able to find work. As long as you aren't too picky and are open-minded about location, you should be fine.
Good luck! |

I'll look and see if I can find some flights on the cheap that are a little sooner then. Thanks for the info! |
