Hello
I have been offered a job as a teacher in Riyadh, I would like to bring my husband and kids over.
My employer said he will give me a letter, but I have to sort out the visa
by myself?
What do I have to do ?? where do I start? |

This topic has been discussed in the following threads:
Is the employer a contracting company? Or is this a direct-hire situation in which the university is your employer? Also, is your housing provided by the employer or are you to be given a housing allowance? |

and first, relax and take a deep breath. You haven't even begun the job. You will want to find your feet and make sure that your employer and the location are really what you want to commit to before resettling family members.
Once you're sure of that, there may well be a probationary period during which your employer will refuse to give you the necessary paperwork to bring over your family. Once that is out of the way, that's when you can start the process. Depending on your family situation and location, that may take anywhere from several weeks to several months.
If, as a woman, sponsoring your husband's visa is viable, I'd recommend reading through the following thread also:
Getting a dependent's (permanent) visa |

I remember reading somewhere (not sure of the validity of the statement) that a woman can only sponsor if she has a title of "LECTURER." So, does this mean that if a contract states she is an instructor, she will be unable to sponsor? |

I only know two women who sponsored their husbands---both had TEFL-related MAs and were direct hires at a government uni. So you really need to check with your potential employer/sponsor. |
