Larry, if you look at what your wrote above, I think you pretty much summed up the tone of Larrsoncrew's posts and also why they are so offensive and, honestly, quite tiresome for some of us. He attacks all Chinese, and seems to believe that they are all the same. It's really quite stupid, but then, racism is.
I, like him, am from the UK. Does that mean that I post bitter, resentful hate filled garbage about an entire race of people, just because they don't play the game by my rules? No. I'm an adult, and choose to behave like one. I take life, and the people I meet therein, as I find it. Day by day, person by person. Some people have hurt me, some have been kind, most have simply ignored me and carried on with their lives. That's the way of the world. This forum is intended, at least in my opinion, as a place where people can help each other out, find things out and share experiences. People like Larssoncrew seem to use it to regularly spew their vitriolic hate for everything Chinese. It begs the question, and he's been asked but never answered, why he and others like him continue to live in China, since they have absolutely nothing good to say about the country or it's people. Sadly I think that kind of constant negativity might put people thinking of coming here off. I hope not. |

| FYI this is a 5 year old thread that was randomly bumped by a first time poster. Strange. And yes, Larsson's posts have been rather abrasive as of late. |

Maybe someone actually heeded some good advice mw182006 |

Why do I stay?
Well firstly I can make good money, not more than back home [hey, Oxford educated lawyers are really well paid], but enough.
I have a Chinese wife, that makes me stay.
Also I can't imagine after being here x numbers of years, the hassle of moving to another place, maybe I'm lazy.
One more thing, China is like a set of scales for me, when something bad happens, normally it's counter acted by something good.
But, like newspapers, it's not really advantageous to newcomers to hear people say 'yup, I took a taxi today and didn't get cheated!', it's far better for them to hear how people were cheated and how to avoid it, even if it's only 1 in 10 times.
Do I warn my friends against eating in places I've never been sick? No, I talk and warn them about the places I got sick, even if it was one time out of ten. |

I find it surprising that you claim to be a lawyer when you are so careless with words. In all honesty you come off as uneducated when you make such rude and overgeneralizing posts, and your boasting also doesn't help, it makes you seem arrogant.
The idea that someone can hold such negative attitudes about an entire race of people while being married to a person of that race is on a whole different level of weirdness that I don't intend on touching with a 20 foot pole. |

Seems you're the one who's becoming offended and calling people out for having an opinion.
I'm not entitled to my opinion on Chinese people? I'm not allowed to publicly share it?
Except 4-5 posters on here [and I've received 7 or 8 PMs about the subject telling me to ignore them and you] constantly back up the CCP, never allow negative connotations on China and if any are said, soon 'deflect' it back towards a Western country.
'Yeah the Chinese cheat and steal..but...but...America! Obama....they did something similar one time!' |

I'm not sure what you are talking about but I made it very clear from my first post that I am indeed offended by your comments so...perhaps you read something incorrectly?

You and everyone else, including myself of course, are free to express whatever dumb, moronic and uninformed opinion we may have. However, I wouldn't be surprised when, if I said something really stupid or racist, people would call me out on it.

Looks like you have a lot of supporters, a whopping 8 (or 7), but hey, who's counting?
If you think having people privately message you shows that your somehow correct, I would like to remind you that no matter how many people believe something foolish, it doesn't make the foolish thing correct or right in any way. In fact, the idea that 7-8 people are so cowardly to just privately message you instead of publicly posting a defense of your recent comments is more telling than you realize.

I'm not sure what your rambling on about here but I'm just about done with this.
My apologies if you feel I've insulted you, I've tried my best to bite my tongue when responding to you and I hope I haven't crossed any lines.
My purpose was just to inform you that I, and some others who have publicly posted in this thread, feel that your comments as of late are crossing the line, are offensive, and perhaps even boarder-line racist once you consider the implications of what your saying.
I hope that a man of your supposed education and marital status would choose his words a little more carefully in the future and not lump 1.4 billion people into a single category of liars, cheats, fraudsters, people with disgusting habits that are to be avoided when traveling, etc. etc. just as I'm sure you don't like it when people make over generalizations about your home country/race/religion, etc. |

I believe LarrsonCrew (idiotic name) is a IELTS examiner based in Nanchang. A nasty pompous little man who thinks people believe that he is a lawyer.
Poisonous and to be avoided, or squashed. |

| It may be relevant to remember that if he had/has the same opinions about American/English people, hardly anyone would bat an eye. Why is that? I have some opinions that I won't share because people will get offended. |

See Prankster, you've just insulted me.
Larsson Crew is my actual name...so is that fair that you're allowed to insult me?
Is it unfair that I say when I travel I like to get away from the people I'm surrounded by 24/7 in China?
Is it OK for some people[no names mentioned] to insult 'western' countries and blindly[even using lies sometimes] defend China?
You can't have it both ways. If you decide that I'm not allowed to criticize China then you need to get rid of the wu maos who blatantly defend China at every occasion they can.
Also I'm from Xi'an! Thanks! |

He's over the line with the insults.
I never once said you can't criticize China and yet again your characterization of anyone who likes it here as being a paid government hack is grossly misleading.
Does your actual last name start with a 'P' and with an 'r' by any chance Larsson? |
