Bank error? Bank error? hahahahahahahahahahahaha this is the oldest excuse in the book when they try to gyp you out of your pay and bonus.

Don't let them do it.

There's no bank error.

It's the FAO, and school staff vacation fund - and you are contributing.

The first school I worked at tried this. Gave me the ol " It's a bank error and the books are closed till next semester story". My yelling and a loud threat of going to speak to the school president got a very quick resolution and my pay was magically fixed the next day.

To top it off the *beep* of a dean asked me to do a summer camp after the meeting.

Thanks changling!

Yup oldest trick in the book. Too bad I don't have access to anyone but the 'they' I communicate with.

This school needs nothing from me. There's no summer camp or other bargaining chip so ... I hope the police can turn this trick around.

Maybe I'll get a call tomorrow, maybe not. I really don't want to contribute to any funds.

Oh look! I found some contact information on the internet! Hmmmmm

Are they recruiting just now? I would interesting if a few of us applied, took it down to the wire and then pulled out citing this thread! Might wake them up and at the least give the a**eholes some rough justice.

Done. Well, 3/4 done. Waiting for flight money.

This morning I went to the ATM for cash to pay the moving people and there it was. No one called or messaged me yesterday or today. Simply done. They still owe me flight money but I need not worry about this 2 months pay. I bet I get the flight money no problem.

Thank you PD!! Awesome! Respect.

So apparently if a 'bank error' <cough> drags on for more than two days, the police have a backdoor into the banking system, a voodoo doll, a four-leaf clover, or a hacker voodoo doll with a four-leaf clover and it gets fixed in 36 hours.

Seriously, I went to the police because I could not find an address for the City FAO, so if I did it again I would go to the City FAO first (like you said), but do not underestimate the police.

Hell yea! Beer for all!!

Nice to hear a positive resolution coming out of this. Put the proper "motivation" on someone and magical things can happen.

From following this it seems you put the proper amount of pressure with the adequate sense of urgency. Flying in guns blazing doesn't always work. Doing nothing never works.

Thanks everyone. Yes, 'guns blazing' probably would not work.

I'd love to buy them beer and dinner but it would be a little awkward. I can speak and read some Chinese but seems I cannot understand anything spoken past 'nihao' and 'weiguoren'.

Now I must clean my apartment, which you may agree is much worse than chasing money.
Cool
