| Hi all. Anyone have any idea of the salary for an experiencedin PYP system (6 years) and trained American teacher could expect at Greenland International school? Thanks |

Well, I just had the interview and offer the other day, they offered a decent salary but the package was not what I would expect. To be fair, they don't normally hire "expats" so their offer was VERY generous, but I'm used to the expat package. They are a great school though, when I visited it was very nice. Sad that I can't join them for the contract offered.  |

There are MANY international schools in Cairo.
If you are a qualified US teacher you should have no problem getting a job here.
Even unqualified teachers can make around 20,000 LE a month if they bargain hard at the beginning. |

(Sorry for the belated response)
If you are talking about Pré Vert (Greenland in French), my own mother has taught there for over 10 years and I used to visit her and tease the children sometimes. It is true that they don't hire expats that often but salary wise -among many other aspects- they aren't -or weren't- the worst school to work at. |
