Glad to hear you have safely made it out, dragonpiwo.
Meanwhile a Royal Navy ship is helping to evacuate Britons and others from Libya.

Great!
Wonder what the Thai lads in Misrata are doing right now? Still saying everything is great in their neighborhood?
I imagine you won't want to be going back in any time soon. |

If only you knew how disgracefully our oil company acted, then you'd really understand the mindset there. Basically, we should have been out a week before we were. However, the transportation manager thought it would be a good time to use his brother's travel agency to make a fast buck by charging inflated prices. For whatever reasons, the company didn't approve it and then lost interest. It was only a fluke and the extension of the open airspace that allowed us to get out at all.
Expats just aren't appreciated in Libya right now. It wasn't like that before. These Libs are the problem, so nothing will change.
They need a dictator and many now say it.
They can keep their 'it's the Libyan way' attitude.
This 'way' means incompetence, dishonesty, racism and a complete absence of responsibility, reality and self-criticism. |

Sounds like the Libyan way is the same as the Egyptian way, the Kuwaiti way, the Saudi way .... anyone notice a pattern? |
