Hi everyone. I am wondering if any are aware of this scouting agency, NETwork Education Solutions aka NETwork ES or nes-HK. It looks like the group represents a lot of schools in mainland China even though its office is in Hong Kong, but I can't find anything about them. Some of the salaries listed in their solicitation seem almost exorbitantly high in view of comparable offers from others on the job boards. If anyone has working knowledge of this entity, I would be glad to hear of it - thanks. |

Me again.
I think the high salaries require a teaching license.
Not sure exactly. |

I have had direct experience with them. The fellow was quite nice and they staff for upper end positions. I was to be placed in a high school for a new college prep program. The Chinese school messed up my visa (read all about it in my drunken rant a year ago right here on Dave's ESL). Anyways, thank the good Lord above that I ended up not taking the position. I followed the program over the Internet and started to notice vacancies for various subject positions appearing in the fall. Over the last six months there were two threads on other boards about how nasty the program was (one has been taken down). I mean really, really bad stuff going down that would make even the most hardened Chinese veterans cringe. Additionally, they had tried to place me with a Kaplan position before that which had red flags all over it. Point being I think they are ethical overall and qc the teacher, but they seem unable or unwilling (not very ethical if so) to do proper qc on the schools like I was told. Be wary if they place you just as you should always be. Still, they are one of the few recruiting agencies I ever agreed to work with so amongst the better of an overall bad lot. A bit contradictory I know, but I am unsure to what extent they are capable of QCing the schools as an outside recruitment agency. Best of luck! |

I dont know any of the terrible stories mentioned above. But their ads all say, up to ABC $.... I would guess few get those top end salaries.
