TEFL Zorritos claims that their organization, Paradise TEFL, is accredited by "TEFL TESOL CERTIFICATION". The website looks a bit suspect. Can anyone verify that this accreditation is legit? Website below:

Hi, localabel!
I'd suggest posting this question over on the general forums:
http://forums.eslcafe.com/job/viewforum.php?f=3
My sense is that there are a lot more folks hanging out over there than here on the Peru forum, so you should get a a wider range of responses.
Good luck! |

TEFL zorritos is just a run of the mill TEFL training school. It's not like SIT or Cambridge or Trinity.
If you look at their organization you won't see any names of the places they're accredited nor names of the people on their board of directors. Highly suspicious. |

Having taken a look at this website, I think we can definitely conclude that it is NOT legit. No phone number. No physical address. No list of member schools. In short, it's a sham accreditation outfit set-up solely to bestow a veneer of legitimacy on fly-by-night training schools. I'd definitely stay away from any school that claims to be "accredited" by this outfit.
Since naturegirl321 has already pointed out in your other thread that certs are not necessary in Peru, I think your best bet to prepare for your trip is to go with a combination of self-study and hands-on volunteer tutoring experience. |

And willingness to work illegally as most places won't get you a proper visa. |
