Though have been here a while, have yet to enter aSaudi Post office, doing my mailings while out of Saudi. Now a friend has asked me to mail him about between 10 and 18 lbs of clothes/ books to USA. Is there a surface mail option? Anyone have any idea how reliable or how much with Saudi mail.

Or should a company like UPS (in Riyadh?) be considered?

Many thanks Very Happy

I had a large heavy trunk full of books, trinkets, carpets etc. and a mountain bike.. shipped from Al Khobar to Dallas using an airline....I think it was KLM, and a shipping company...I think it was Kanoo Travel. It cost a couple of hundred bucks, and I thought it was a bargain.
Sorry I don't have more absolute information.

Saudi Post Office registered mail has worked for me for small packages of two pounds or so. Good rates. Their EMS has also worked well for small packages. Costs for either are very reasonable.
