So I had a meeting with the FAO, assistant to the FAO and one of the top leaders of the school. It was during this meeting that I realized that the school leaders have no idea that it is this crazy lady that is doing all the trash talking. In fact, the leader was saying how this will all blow over and it must have just been some locals who don't like seeing a Chinese girl with a foreign guy. I don't know how he can say this when most of the attack was aimed at the school itself and especially the FAO.

They don't seem to be trying to get rid of me at this point. Actually, they are trying to keep me from quitting since the school year has started and it's difficult to say who exactly would cover my classes.

I don't want to abandon my students, but this is starting to get out of hand and might have some long term consequences. I wish I had some friends around here who could steer me somewhere else. I just want to do my job well like any other teacher - without all this extra bs.

The school is saying that the next time someone starts pulling this crap the government has said they will get involved, so I can rest assured. I call bull.

I don't blame anyone for thinking this is fake. I just told my girlfriend yesterday I feel like we're in a horror movie at this point. If you saw the way she talks to herself back and forth on this blog you would totally understand. Too bizarre. Anyway, thanks for the advice. I think that was a good idea to copy the stuff that she's posted so far in case I have to defend myself before I can get out of here. Already looking for jobs on Echinacities. See how that goes I guess.

Nic if this really is true then I apologise but not for disbelieving, simply for going public with it.

There are so many things to make one sceptical here.

1. You've only been there a short time and not long enough for anyone to develop a pathological hatred of you or your relationship.

2. I assume that your school raised no objections to you and your girlfriend living together in their accommodation when you applied for the job.

3. You have brought it to their attention, with proof, yet their response was to tell YOU to move elsewhere. There has been no mention of them questioning the other FT.

4. A (I assume) western FT takes umbrage at cohabitation.

I know this is China but stone me.

If it is true and were I in your position I would demand a meeting between all parties and have the matter thrashed out. Last December I was moved into new accommodation from old and my cats had only ever known tye old place. Naturally they cried a good deal for about a week until they settled in to unfamiliar surroundings.

A fellow FT (not western I should add) complained to the school less than 24 hours after I moved in. There was a meeting called between the foreign affairs dept and all the FTs because the FAD didn't want wind of the dispute getting to the top.

The complaint was withdrawn and the cats as predicted did become accustomed in less than a week.

Then there should really only be one outcome and I am baffled as to why they are not already packing her bags for her.

She lives on your campus and you know where she lives. Why don't you buy a black balaclava and track her down when she least expects it? Tell her to stop what she's doing or else she won't be leaving China except in a coffin. If that doesn't work then step it up a notch. Leave rotten garbage outside her door. Bang on her door as loud as you can at 4am. Sabotage her anyway you possibly can. Don't let her bully you. The school isn't helping clearly so this is the way to do it, or else just pack up and leave. No point working for people who are mongoloids who are too stupid to realize that she's doing all of this.

As much as I would be tempted to do much worse than that there could be only one outcome.

It seems believable.
Inept management is often the norm.
Or as in my Uni work, they just don't really care.
My old Uni has quite a few overseas and "special" programs that mostly were just to make certain people extra money.

Go to your local wet market and buy a pigs head. Either break into her apartment and put the head in her bed, or just nail it to her front door. No one is going to believe you would be crazy enough to do such a thing. She'll get the message though.
