I kinda chuckle when I see recruiters inviting applicants for "prestigious universities in the KSA".
KAUST is good but how important is the rep of a uni there? |

Nothing new---this is typical of marketing strategies used in promoting just about every product, service, or concept known to man. Ironically, these tactics work, as in:
"Voted the world's hottest bachelor/bachelorette"
"Zero fat but tastes great"
"9 out of 10 dentists recommend it"
"Makes your skin look 15 years younger"
"Our patented system can teach you to speak English like a native in just 30 days" |

Isn't anybody else fed up with the normal ignorant replies to messages from Scot47, which don't help anyone.
KAUST is a world-class university but difficult to get in. People who are there, stay there!!! |

So don't read his posts...
It is not as though this thread was intended or could possibly help anyone anyway.

How would it be possible to impose any accreditation requirements in this region? I doubt very seriously if what you are saying is true. |

The ONLY accreditation that I've ever known ANYWHERE in the Gulf region was for a particular program/department at one of their faux-unis.
NEVER for the entire system!
Correct me if I'm wrong...ZU may be an exception, but I'm not interested enuf to look it up... |

Billings hgas sent me a mysterious pm that I will share
"I'm a contractor (lots of problems with them) but: live in a large decent apartment, 3 paid flights a year, clear £7,500 or $12,000 per month. Maximum five hours a day (or paid overtime) and very often less! (Currently TWO hours a day). Problems - yes, but it's not all bad! "
I am not sure what has motivated his pm. Perhaps he c an share with us here. Why does he feel impelled to inform a complete stranger of his alleged earnings. He accuses me of ignorance. Perhaps he can enlighten me ? |
