You might elaborate more---especially give some context.

Since the Hajj break falls in the new month, teachers will most likely get paid after the Hajj holidays, when the month ends. This would give ICEAT the opportunity to deduct salaries from teachers who come back late from their holidays.

I will be very happy to elaborate at a later date. Very happy indeed.

In the mean time thanks for the info.

I thought the question was a straightforward one and required no additional context. For the reading challenged, I offer this translation: Did the ICEAT teachers who work at KSU get paid before the Haj Break? A simple question requiring a simple yes or no answer.

Where I work, we should get paid on the 25th day each month according to the Hijrii calendar. In September, that day fell on or about the 20th. For various unknown reasons and lame excuses, we did not. Many people who have planned holidays are quite upset.

Sadly it seems as if some employers believe that not paying it's employees before a vacation guarantees they return in October. I would have thought acting in a professional manner would also produce roughly the same results. Very strange.

No employer pays their employee for their Eid holidays in advance, I have never come across such a situation. If the holidays occurred during the new month, then one would get paid at the end of that month.

So the holiday means they don't get paid on the specified date either. Oh.

Why is that so difficult for an employer to communicate rather than say the complete opposite of that?

Effective communication is a common problem among most employers in KSA. Employees are simply expected to know all the rules and company policies, if any.

That's not the case for every employer. My pay was always deposited on time, regardless of the holidays.

Likewise for direct hires where I work. Last year we were paid on time just before Eid. There is a delay this year, but it is promised to be deposited tomorrow (though I'm not holding my breath). It does appear that our first paycheck didn't come through on time due to incompetence rather than malevolence. It is the slimy, shady contractors who are deliberately withholding pay, hoping to thwart "runners".

I was paid on the 24th.

I was also handed a round trip ticket to the USA and back to KSA.

However, you don't work for ICEAT or KSU, which is what the OP is specifically inquiring about.
