Hi I am new to the forum, but wondered has any one heard of Bloomingtons academy Dubai. I can't find anything on them and they say they are a new school I got offered a job with them and wondered if anyone had worked with them before or knows of them any feedback is welcome. |

That school, if legit, apparently barely opened last month in Ajman (not Dubai), so I doubt there's enough info about what's it's like to work for them. Their website (http://thebloomingtonacademy.com/) is rather sparse with no mention of leadership nor much about their curriculum. Anyway, if you were offered a job without an interview, that's a major red flag, even if you weren't told to fork out money upfront.
For peace of mind, take a look at Seek Teachers, Footprints, Teach Away, and Intelligent Partners for international school teaching jobs in the UAE. |

Their website gives a mobile numbers as their contact - so maybe they don't have an office yet ...? |

Yes I found they are in Ajman and I found them through worldteachers. They seem real just very new. They say they apart of Lazar group if anyone knows any more please message me. We had an interview and they seem OK, but it was over the phone as they said they had Skype issues I am aware it could be a scam, but the contract looks OK. I just wondered if anyone knew them. |

I like this picture of the press conference:

Eating, snoozing, thinking profoundly, checking mobiles, and looking engaged.
They have been advertizing on a Dubai radio station. I wonder if they actually have students. |

We have no idea of your credentials and experience, but there is a consistency to all new schools the I feel I should warn you about. The first 1-3 years are a total nightmare of disorganization, frustration, and perhaps worse. If you end up going, be sure to pack tons of patience... and a (quietly discrete) sense of humor. As long as they provide decent housing and the paycheck appears in your account on time every month, much can be overlooked. But those last two are often the main reasons that new teachers in the area - especially at new institutions - leave quickly.

They're definitely new---just opened their doors to students barely 10 days ago on Sept. 28. Here's a link to a write up about them on Edarabia: http://www.edarabia.com/100590/british-curriculum-schools-open-in-ajman/
I suggest you do an Internet search on expat forum ajman and post on a couple of the general expat forums for more info about the school. Those forums reach a wider, diverse population compared to this one. |

It is a new school and one of the people I was working with sent her child there. Ajman is not a nice place to live, Sharjah is ridiculously overpriced, overpopulated and the traffic is ghastly. If you take the post make sure they provide the accommodation as it's really difficult to organise your own. |
