No key money in China. Expect to pay at least three months rent at a time, 1-3 months rent as deposit, as well as having to pay the real estate person as much as one month's rent as a finder's fee.
Rent in Changping should be less than rent in the rest of BJ because it's well outside of the city. Depending on access to the metro, I would think that you'd be able to find something decent for under 5,000.
If you do choose to get the 1,000, find out whether or not it is taxed. Money for rent can/should be exempted from income tax. |
Oh kiss my ass. I'm tired of reading crap like this. Who the hell do you think you are? Because you disagree with or dislike my post you go off on some pathetic little rant and start name calling? A troll? I mean, how pathetic can you be to just anonymously call people sad little names? It's like you are some 9 year-old kid that just calls people names and hides around the corner when the target looks around for who said it. My god, it is S-A-D!! And to think that you are supposedly in charge of educating young people. You might as well just laugh anytime you hear the word *beep*, or for that matter just have sex with your students. You have NOTHING better to do with your life and time than cry like a little girl and start name calling because you disagree with a direct, unadulterated post by someone? It goes beyond hilarity, I feel sad for you, very, very sad.
I feel even worse for those you are responsible for. Do you say the same thing to your students? Do you? Maybe it's time employers know how their "teachers" act outside the classroom.
I can't tell you just how sad you are. |

I'm willing to bet your post count will exceed no more than 40 and then you will be banned again and create an another account with your schizophrenic-like posts. What will the new one be? Ahelena123, big blue?
Op, start up costs eat away at your salary for like the first 6 to 12 months I'd say. Speaking from personal experience of course. If you're a homebody you'll save loads. If,you aren't them you can expect to be closer to the 12 month period like I was until you get the savings in. Also factor in a Chinese girlfriend, they can be quite expensive, but practical, as odd as it seems. |

It takes a specific personalty type to drop your life in the west and come to China and expect to survive mentally and so on. So, yes, I agree with your inference, the board IS full of crazy people that shouldn't be here, let alone China. Seems only I am willing to be blunt. So, there is where my assessment is PROVEN with all the negative comments and PERSONAL attacks that are forthcoming. It will only reinforce and support (prove) my evaluation. We all know it. |
Is this the same Bleeding Blue who has just contributed to my thread about Contract and Medical blanks with two irrelevant and negative posts?

| OP there are letting agents and a sublet will likely be cheaper and easier to get out of than an arrangement where you are the principal tenant. |

Actually it does nothing but reinforce the truth. You claim and submit yourself as a self-appointed god-like member of the site. And, yet, you are unable to do your own online search engine - via the forum or internet search. Nice high post count and you can't find core material online independently. The average effort involved to get it is minimalist in nature.
It's sad, but true, OP's need to defend themselves, as it is demanding to be proven you do nothing but the forum m wit garbage rather = self-appointed ego. The OP's original message is SO simple to find elsewhere (AND IN THE threads it can be found. It only proves my theory of the ages. Self-appointed illusions of grandeur. Toughening themselves to be the expert of all things, big and small; and yet... |

Your 'posts per day' tally is almost the same as mine and if OP was out of order and 'so simple' why have contributions gone on for two pages?
A lot of posts are repetition but I long ago got over that.
I fully expect an umpteenth 'Is it OK to come over on a tourist visa' post in the next week. |

What's funny about it? Do you know anyone who has worked for a public university who wasn't provided a free, furnished apartment? Can you show me an ad for a public university that specifically states that a free furnished apartment isn't furnished? |

Wait. A member of a forum rants about how the forum is "filled nearly to capacity with crazy people... crazy, ranting, blaming everyone but themselves... the board IS full of crazy people that [sic] shouldn't be here."
Crazy, ranting people who don't belong here. Hmmm... I don't get it. Why are you a member of the forum if you don't count yourself among the crazy, ranting masses?
'Splain it to me Lucy. |

Have to find the right girlfriend. Mine pays for herself and then some. Having trouble convincing her to let me buy her plane tickets so we can afford to go to someplace like Greece for vacation. |

It's "BleedingBlue", not "Bleeding Blue", actually.
Obviously I must be a troll since our god-like member, with his thousands of posts must certainly have attained Interstellar-esque knowledge during his reign as god himself. Yes, I am now a believer in all that is Non Sequitur. I have been turned. I have been convinced. I have been saved. My redemption has begun. It has taken some time, it was not a believer-at-first-sight kind of thing because I just couldn't get past the massive stockpile of knowledge and insight and yet he lacked the simple ability to find some contract or health form. With god needing to ask his disciples to solve something rather than using Google (which would have answered the question well) himself was digging into me like a schizophrenic's skin filled with burrowing worms.
Just another crybaby and babies default to "troll" because they lack the ability to act like adults. Some, what????? 40-50 year old guy still hurt by words. "Sticks and stones" . . . isn't it pathetic that after years!! and thousands of posts and being an expert in English and a dominant force of the boards that someone like this reverts to being a 7 year old with his "troll" comments and "I know you are, but what am I" inference from his attitude and response (his words).
It truly is sad.
So go ahead and accuse me of being some other ex-user or whatever, then go boo-hoo-hooing to a moderator and have me banned - apparently that is how things work of how "NS" is suggesting happens.
So offensive, isn't it?
It truly is stunning and sad that someone like this, and, obviously, others cry and are irked by such simple words and opinions, then resort to prepubescent name calling then running to mommy or daddy to have someone scolded (report post link).
Again, and finally... I feel sad for you and those around you. So deficient in adult-ness. Now I can see why you are probably not a teacher back in the US. You can't follow normal social order with such immaturity. |

You bet.
Your 1500+ posts means you clearly use the internet but don't know how to search for an answer to your own question. I specicially spent 2 years a Shandong located university that provided only an financial stipend for off-campus living (as well as someone from the university to help you search/acquire what you choose). Happy to provide a copy of the contract that states it outright, that, "Party A does not offer a flat for living. However, Party A provides a month housing allowance for Party B to rent his/her own flat out of the campus). The original contract uses this verbage. I'm happy to provide it. That is, of course, if approved by the gods of the board (those high post count guys that to immature to not be bothered by simple words). |

Who do you think runs these forums, and who has said they know everything?

BleedingBlue, Baby,
You need to dial it back. You're foaming.
"..."Party A does not offer a flat for living. However, Party A provides a month housing allowance for Party B to rent his/her own flat out of the campus)..."
I've never seen such a thing, but that's pretty much the equivalent of providing an apartment. Was this a PUBLIC institution? Public institutions really want to keep tabs on their teachers.
Why are you having problems with everyone and everything everyone says in this forum?
I bet you're a blast to be around on Saturday nights. |
