Is a law degree of any value when looking for an ESL job?

Yeah, in ESL no one probably cares about the Bar. It's just the concern of "what secret thing is so wrong with them that they studied law and now have to teach ESL".
I wonder if you could service a niche LSAT prep market?

I wonder what the LSAT prep market would be like. For SAT prep here they seem able to demand a degree from a top uni at at least some schools. Would be hilarious to see a job asking for HYS law grads. Even more hilarious if they got filled.

I'm not sure how many Chinese want a law degree though. Presumably if they had permanent residency they would study in the US. If they don't then a law degree has much more limited use compared to the other options.

I saw some jobs on the Korean board teaching legal English at a big company for a couple hours every week. Licensed attorneys only. Pretty good pay. That might spread over here. Who knows. I see it as as emerging but small field.

Actually yes. Renmin and Peking University recently advertised for someone to teach "Legal English" to some law students. Good luck.
