I am finished with finals week and I'm off until the 25th of Jan. I'm always bored over here, but I just reached a new level in my boredom.
I'm watching (on YouTube) the USA v Nigeria basketball game played at the London 2012 Olympics.

When I'm not at work, I: study Arabic, cook, read, meditate, plan my vacations, and go to the gym. Not bored at all. Every place is what you make of it... |

I'm more shocked that there are adults that actually say this..."I'm bored."
Are you kidding me?
I expect it from adolescents but...by adulthood ...you should have figured out a few things regarding life.
okay...rants over... you say boredom, I say content...thankful...appreciative, and I dare say even happy!
Merry Christmas may all your days NOT be boring! |

I believe the only time I'm bored - in fact the only time I can recall having ever been bored - has been at forced attendance "departmental meetings."
If I find a book boring (a rare occurrence) I pick up another. If I find a movie/TV show boring, I switch the channel or leave the theater. If I find a person boring, I avoid him/her.
I spent 19 years in Saudi, and thanks to my having a lot of good books (and later, the Internet), I can honestly say I was never bored (except at those *&^$#%@ meetings).
Regards,
John |

I, too, haven't ever been bored. Except at long departmental meetings held in French (I don't speak/even try to speak French). The world is so full of cool stuff to do; I'm eternally grateful for it all. |

If being bored is ever a problem for you in the world outside the Kingdom, I would advise never going to live/work in Saudi.

My theory is that Saudi is best survived by introverts and those comfortable indoors.
If you like scuba or snorkeling, it can be fun.... maybe. |
